Bridge Cottage - Braithwaite

The location was absolutely perfect! We were right in the center of town, next to the village shop, and the soothing sound of the stream across the road added to the peaceful atmosphere. We were able to go on some incredible hikes right from our doorstep, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and even Skiddaw from our bedroom windows. Plus, the Whinlatter Mountain Bike Park was just a short cycle away, so we didn't have to rely on our car too much. The convenience of the location made our stay so enjoyable.

There were a few downsides to our stay. The shower pressure was really disappointing, which was a bummer after a long day of hiking.

Right in the center of town, with a village shop right across the street where I could grab my morning coffee and croissants. the cottage is surrounded by beautiful walks and hikes, offering stunning views of the hills and even Skiddaw from the bedroom windows.

I had an amazing stay at this cozy cottage in Braithwaite! The location couldn't have been more perfect, right in the heart of the village with the soothing sound of the stream nearby. The hikes right from the doorstep were amazing, especially with Skiddaw visible from the bedroom windows. And if you're into mountain biking, the Whinlatter Mountain Bike park is just a short cycle away. I also had the pleasure of going on an Alpaca Walk from Whinlatter, an lovely experience. The cottage had everything I needed and the parking was a plus. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic getaway.
